My New Room

Rodarte Spring 2011

Of all the New York Fashion week shows I just couldn't wait to see the Rodarte collection.  Part of it was due to Cathy Horn's comment last season that they "might be one trick pony and would be lucky if they lasted 10 years."  The collection for Spring was more refined, while still using the signature collage.  They paired beautiful wood prints with artisanal embossed leather.  There attention to the use of hand crafts and reference of the arts and crafts movement were quintessential Rodarte.  I think this is by far there most commercial collection to date.  Below are some of my favorite looks:

It's the video for the the new Arcade Fire

It's the most amazing piece of work that I have seen in along time.  It's inspiring while very touching.  Plus the new album is super amazing.  It really speaks to my soul.
